Socket’s growing family of CompactFlash RFID Reader Cards. These products
are supported by SocketScan and the SDK on Pocket PC2003 (Windows Mobile)
devices with CF Card slots
CF RFID Reader Card Features:
- Integrated Type II CF card plugs into the Type II CompactFlash slot
of Windows Powered Pocket PCs
- High Frequency – 13.56MHz Reader/Writer
- Read range – Approx. 2 inches (5 cm) – Varies with size of tag
antenna
- Reads and writes to the most popular HF ISO 15693 tags, including:
ICode SLI/SL2, LRI512, my-d and Tag-It HF-I
- Reads and writes to ICode 1, Tag-It HF and PicoTag proprietary HF
tags
- Support for reading in Inventory and/or Loop Mode
- LED indicates read activity
- Supported by the same SocketScan and SDK that supports all Socket
data collection products
- Socket's SocketScan software sends tag ID and/or data from selected
memory blocks to any Windows application as virtual keystrokes
- SocketScan enables the creation of prefixes and suffixes, such as
Tab or Carriage Return, to further eliminate key strokes in the data
collection process
- SocketScan enables the assignment of a beep tone to signify a
successful read
- This Battery Friendly solution draws only a few milliamps of current
in standby mode, extending the battery life of your Pocket PC
- No extra batteries or special power adapter required. The RFID
Reader Card gets power from the host Pocket PC
- Works with Windows-based development tools so you can easily create
custom applications

RFID Reader Card 6E Socket’s high Frequency CF RFID Reader Card 6E
supports reading and writing to all ISO 15693 and many proprietary
13.56Mhz RFID tags being used or deployed for asset tracking, ID and
access control, process control, healthcare and pharmaceutical
applications. SocketScan enters the tag ID and/or data from selected
memory blocks into any Windows application as virtual keystrokes. The
SocketScan SDK is required to embed memory read and write capabilities
into software applications.

RFID Software
SocketScan RFID SDK The SDK used to support Socket’s barcode scanning
products also supports the RFID products listed above. This SDK can be
used to embed support and control of these products into your application
and is required to develop applications using RFID write functionality for
the CF RFID Reader Cards. Support for .NET Compact Framework is included.
